THE LEARNACUS STORY

Learnacus began as a store front facility called Right Click Computer Training located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. The development of Right Click began in 2002 when the owners started a small, on-site computer servicing operation. As they went into people's homes to fix their PCs, they quickly discovered that a lot of their customers were struggling to do very basic tasks like attaching to emails or surfing the internet. Most still had their digital cameras in the box because they did not know what to do with the pictures! These skills were so easy, and required such little computer knowledge, so how could so many people lack the foundations of daily computer use? The answer was clear - there was nowhere for them to learn just the basics in a fun and exciting atmosphere! Traditional schools were just too boring! Thus Right Click set out to re-define the way computers were being taught in the classroom - NO theory, NO manuals, LOTS of fun.

As the curriculum developed so too did the plan to make the courses available online to the world. But how could the same Right Click concept of computer training used in a classroom be taught in a website environment? The answer was found in Humanized Rich Media Ð an interactive style of web based media that allows active participation of the user. In essence, a two-way communication between the student and the instructor is built. It's as close to face to face classroom learning as you can get! Now Learnacus is set to re-define eLearning the way Right Click re-defined the classroom.
