Learnacus Technologies Inc. (ÒLearnacusÓ) knows that the way your personal information is collected, used and shared is important to you – and we appreciate your trust in us to collect your personal information carefully and sensibly.  Learnacus is committed to respecting your right to privacy.  This privacy policy describes the information we collect, and how we use and protect information, whether such information is provided to us on the Learnacus website.

A.              Collecting and Using Information

1.              Learnacus may collect and use your personal information:

(a)            in order to register you as a subscriber to, and/or User of Learnacus services;

(b)           to administer any subscription and/or online accounts with Learnacus;

(c)            to provide training services;

(d)           to contact you by post, e-mail or telephone;

(e)            to ask you to confirm/amend the personal information we hold about you;

(f)             to provide you with a username; and

(g)            to improve our products, services, or our website, based upon your views expressed to Learnacus.

 

2.              We collect information regarding website usage and visitors via ÒcookiesÓ on your computer, if you allow ÒcookiesÓ on your computer.

3.              Your submission to survey questions may be used to accumulate survey results that may be published in the aggregate (i.e. your submission is not associated with you as an individual).

4.              By providing your personal information to Learnacus, you consent to being contacted by Learnacus (by post, e-mail or telephone) in relation to all matters related to the operation of LearnacusÕs services.   

5.              Information about website usage and visitors to the Learnacus website may be shared by   Learnacus with third parties.  If you do not wish to have this information shared, you should decline to have cookies stored on your computer browser, as discussed below.

6.              Except as set out above, we will not sell or trade any personally identifiable information that may be collected from our website, and we will not disclose such information, except as authorized by law. 

7.              A computer ÒcookieÓ is a small piece of information that is stored by your browser on your computerÕs hard drive or temporarily in your computerÕs memory.  Learnacus uses temporary cookies to identify your current session when you make another request in the same session.  These cookies may be stored in your computerÕs hard drive and depending on how your browser is configured, it may or may not be erased when you close your browser. Learnacus also uses cookies stored on your hard drive to personalize and enhance your playing experience and to track visit habits.  Most browsers will usually allow you to change the settings of your browser so that it does not accept cookies, but if you do this, it may impair the operation of Learnacus website.  Accordingly, we suggest setting your browser to accept cookies while using the Learnacus website.

8.              Our website may contain links to other websites.  Please be aware that the privacy policies of other sites may vary.  We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites to which our website may link. 

 

B.             How we Protect the Information we Collect

1.              LearnacusÕ collection, use, retention and disclosure of information comply with the provisions of the legislation in the British Columbia. Your information and the business you do with Learnacus is kept in strict confidence and used only in the manner as set out in this policy, or as otherwise expressly agreed by you.  Either before or when Learnacus collects information about you, we will explain exactly how we intend to use it.  We will limit the information we collect to the purposes that we need it and we will use it only for those purposes.  We will obtain your consent if we wish to use your information for any other purpose. 

2.              Learnacus has put in place encryption controls in an effort to ensure that the processing of your personal information by Learnacus is secure and resistant to unauthorized access. 

3.              Personal information about you will only be accessible to authorized employees of Learnacus, and the companyÕs agents, affiliates, representatives or contractors who require access to this information in the performance of their duties.  Personal information will also be made available to any entities with whom Learnacus has contracted to operate, manage or promote LearnacusÕ business.  All entities with whom Learnacus contracts in relation to the foregoing will have contractual provisions obliging them to keep your personal information confidential.

1.              Learnacus may revise this privacy statement from time to time to reflect changes to our website.  As a result you should visit this page periodically to review the contents.  We will not specifically provide you with notice of changes to our privacy policies. 

2.              Learnacus may retain your personal information for as long as necessary to comply with the permitted purposes and to comply with our legal and regulatory requirements.
